Angel Wings World Pageant

 

 

• RULES: All applicants must be of good moral character, dedicated to making a difference in the world. Applicants must have never been arrested. Applicants can be from any State or Country.

• DATE OF COMPETITION:

We will be awarding our 2015 State and National Titles from November through December 31, 2014.Judging will take place in January (by 3 impartial judges), and winners will be announced & sent their State or National Title immediately after. State title holders receive sashes with their state, & National title holders receive both a sash with their country and a tiara. All winners (State and National are asked to take a photograph with their sash for posting on our website). Both State & National title holders will be invited to volunteer at the Angels Pageant of Florida (pageant for children & adults with special needs/facing terminal illness) pageant as 100% of the profits go to support this charitable event. National title holders will also have the opportunity to compete for the title of “World,” via interview before the pageant, as well as participation during the pageant. Angels Pageant of Florida is tentatively set for June 27, 2015 in Orlando, FL. Date & Location subject to change.

• JUDGING:

The Angel Wings Pageant System is the first pageant that judges 100% on inner beauty. Applicants will be judged in the following categories:

 

Application:  33 1/3%. We want to know who you are – so let us know via your application. Applications can be emailed or mailed in. Applications can be decorated anyway the applicant wishes. Applications can be typed or hand written, but need to be legible for the judges. (Please keep the applications to 2 pages in length). For young children, moms & dads can fill out the application.
Essay: 33 1/3%. Touch our hearts - The essay is on what beauty means to you. The Angels Pageant System gives our angels a day to be honored for their beauty – It’s completely magical. Share with us your thoughts on what true beauty is! 250 word maximum. For young children: a drawing can be sent of what beauty means to them instead of the essay.

Charitable work: 33 1/3%. Show us your true inner beauty – based on your platform & involvement in charitable work. You can do this in many ways that include, but are not limited to: photographs of you participating in your community service; media articles on your involvement in your charity/platform; letters of recommendation from your charity; etc. For young children: pictures of your child assisting in collecting canned goods, or donating toys, etc., can be sent in.

• TITLES

We ask you to list the 3 countries (you live/d in, have family from, went to school, or visited) you wish to be considered for, as well as three states/cities from each country. For Example: Contestant Jane wishes to be considered for 1) USA (Florida, Georgia and New York), 2) Germany (Berlin, Frankfurt and Munich), and 3) Cuba (Havana & Santiago). Jane lives in the US, but her parents are from Germany. Jane’s husband is from Cuba and she has visited there with him. Remember – everyone who applies is guaranteed at least a State title (City if foreign), but we want to present as many National titles as possible.

 

• DIVISIONS: Divisions are based on your age as of January 1, 2015:

• Young Miss (Ages 5-12)

• Teen Miss (Ages 13-16)

• Miss (Ages 17-25)

• Ms. (Ages 25+ single, divorced, or widowed)

• Mrs. (Ages 25+ married)

• Mr. (Male – any age)

• APPEARANCES: When you receive your banner you can make appearances. Go to your local newspaper or Chamber of Commerce and find the local happenings in your community. Select the things that fit into your schedule and that interest you. It could be a parade, Special Olympics or Grand Opening to a new business. Whatever it is, you will be a strong and positive addition to the event. Be proud – you received your title based on giving of yourself & inner beauty!

 

• JUDGES: Our judges are also dedicated to making a difference & giving of themselves – they will judge impartially. They will be selecting the titles based on the best representative of all the contestants that have competed that year.

 

• SPONSORSHIP: Entrance fee can be paid by the contestant or may be paid by sponsors. What does a sponsor get in return for giving you money for your entrance fee: This is up to you. The best way is by doing an appearance or appearances in exchange. Most business would have to pay a model for appearances, why not you. You can model clothing, sign composite cards, greet people at the door, etc. Entrance fees for the pageant also makes a wonderful gift for a pageant princess you love!!!

 

• PLAT FORM: Your platform is something you do for someone or group that means a lot to you – It’s what you put your heart & soul into. For me, it’s the Angels Pageant of Florida, other examples include: American Cancer Society, Autism speaks, etc. Volunteering in anyway on an ongoing bases can be considered a platform. And don't forget...By participating in our pageant system, provides you with a Platform (The Angels Pageant of Florida) that you can use when applying for other pageants!

 

• FEES: For only $125.00 you are guaranteed at minimum a State Title (City if Country). If you are selected as a State Title holder, you will receive an amazing sash announcing your State Title (City if Country), that you can wear with pride at gala events, on parades, etc.; example: Miss Florida or Mrs. London. Or, you may be selected by our judges as a National Title holder to represent one of your 3 named Countries– if you are, you will receive a sash with your National Title & a Tiara, ex: Miss United States or Ms. Cuba. Our National Title holders will have the opportunity to compete for the title of “World,” for only an additional $150.00. They will compete via interview before the Angels Pageant of Florida pageant, as well as participation during the pageant. (Angels Pageant of Florida is tentatively set for June 27, 2015 in Orlando, FL. Date & Location subject to change). And remember – 100% of all proceeds will go to the Angels Pageant of Florida!!!

 

• WHAT DO I NEED TO GET STARTED: You need to get your application in with your $125.00 application fee, your 250 word essay on what beauty means to you, and your supplemental charitable work (pictures, articles, letters of recommendation, etc.). * State Title Winners: (City if Country other than US) receives sash with title & photograph on our website;

* National Title Winners: receives sash with title, tiara & photograph on our website & opportunity to compete for World Title in their division;

* World Title Winners: receives sash with “World” title, amazing tiara & photograph on our website;

* Additional Awards (at no extra charge): All contestants have the opportunity to receive one of our special awards (via certificate and/or medallion): Inspirational & Touched by an Angel. These are added extra awards for contestants that just go above & beyond to make a difference! Some additional awards may be given to specific pageant divisions as well.

 

And remember: Everyone who enters is guaranteed at minimum a State Title win! Not to mention that everyone who applies will receive the satisfaction in knowing that 100% of the profits from their application fee goes directly to funding the Angels Pageant of Florida – A Pageant for children & adults with special needs/facing a terminal illness. Our angels all receive a tiara/crown, sash (with unique title selected by their families), medallion, trophy & other goodies. Our Angels are all winners, and everything for our Angels & their families is completely free.
